Accounts and personal records
Your phone number is used for registration, sign-in and code verification and is stored with your nickname in our database. Tracking states, progress and sources you save belong to your account and are separate from public encyclopedia data. Public browsing requires no account.
Cookies and security
Web sign-in uses an expiring HttpOnly session cookie; the database stores an HMAC digest of the credential. Signing out revokes the current session. A language cookie remembers your interface language for one year. Proof of work is verified on this site before SMS requests; HMAC digests of phone numbers and access IPs support rate limits and abuse prevention. Temporary selection stores public anime IDs, order and a short-lived isolation marker in browser session storage for 24 hours from creation, including restored browser sessions. If storage is unavailable, selection stays in page memory. Comparison links contain public anime IDs only.
SMS, covers and external links
Aliyun Phone Number Verification Service handles SMS delivery and code checks and receives the phone number and information needed for verification. Your browser loads covers from Qiniu CDN. External viewing, reading and source sites handle visits after you open their links. Encyclopedia data comes from Bangumi Archive.
Analytics and operational logs
The public afans.zone site loads Google Analytics and Baidu Analytics. Their scripts communicate directly with your browser and may use their own cookies. Operational logs support troubleshooting and security; this site does not place SMS codes or session credentials in page links or error messages.
Records and sign-out
Signing out keeps your saved account records. Tracking management lets you change states and progress or remove a title. Removing a title differs from deleting an account, source or per-episode record. Full account deletion and phone changes are not currently available. You can download your own anime library JSON from My Account, including subject IDs, status, progress and original timestamps. It excludes playback history and private sources. Confirmed additions use short-lived session-bound context and idempotency receipts without overwriting existing records. Imports accept Afans JSON v1 and add missing entries in confirmed batches. Raw files are not retained. Private plans bind normalized IDs, status, progress and results to the current session for 30 minutes. Completion clears the manifest; expired plans are removed on the next import. Existing records are preserved.
