"Usavich" is a 3D animated short comedy produced by Kanaban Graphics. The first and second seasons consist of 26 episodes, with each episode lasting approximately 90 seconds. The third season began airing in October 2008 and ran until July 2009, comprising 39 episodes in total. It won the Short Animation Award at the Japan Media Arts Festival in 2006 and the Adult-oriented TV Animation Award at the Ottawa International Animation Festival in 2007. The story revolves around two rabbits, Putin (Puchin) and Kirenenko, serving time in a prison in the Soviet Union in 1961. The series features almost no dialogue, consisting only of breathing sounds and vocal effects, while the police officers (who are also rabbits) occasionally speak unintelligible phrases that sound like a mix of Russian and Japanese.
