AIKa ZERO

On March 26 of this year, Studio Fantasia, the animation company known for series such as "AIKa," "Stratos 4," and "Kimi ga Nozomu Eien" (Desire), officially announced information about a new anime on the day their official production blog, "Fantasia Blog," was launched. We have now confirmed that the latest work overseen by Noriyasu Yamauchi, which was initially revealed, is "AIKa ZERO." Before this announcement on the company's official website, BANDAI VISUAL's product introduction page had already disclosed full details of "AIKa ZERO." This OVA series is set three years after the events of the previous installment, "AIKa R-16: Virgin Mission." The protagonist, Aika Sumeragi, is now 19 years old and attending university when she suddenly receives another request from Eri Manami, asking her to infiltrate an all-girls high school along with Karen Minabono to investigate and resolve a mysterious incident. The core staff and main voice cast have been revealed. "AIKa ZERO" is essentially produced by the original team, but notably features Noriyasu Yamauchi taking sole responsibility for directing. Three characters—Miyu Shiratori, Rin Shigiku, and Kana Shiraishi—are newly introduced in this installment. Volume 1 of the "AIKa ZERO" OVA in Blu-ray Disc and DVD formats will be released on August 25. First-run bonuses include special wallpapers drawn by Noriyasu Yamauchi and included bonus footage. Prices are 6,090 yen and 5,040 yen, respectively. The official anime website opened early on May 2, currently displaying only one image, with full operation beginning on May 30.
