The traveler Kino rides her talking motorcycle, Hermes, from country to country. In each nation, she stays for only three days; after experiencing the culture and customs of its people, she departs for another land... --The world is not beautiful, therefore it is.-- --The World Is Not Beautiful, Therefore It Is.-- --This world is not beautiful, yet it is beautiful because of that.-- [Synopsis] Kino and her companions adhere to a rule of staying in any single country for just three days. The intrusion of the 'traveler Kino'—an element of the extraordinary—into the 'daily lives' of the people in each 'country' creates small ripples. However, these ripples sometimes turn into major events that shake the foundations of daily life. What does Kino witness along her journey, and what remains in the hearts of the people she meets there?
