SAMURAI SPIRITS 2: Asura Zanma Densho

After a harrowing great battle, peace temporarily returns to the human world. Haohmaru arrives in Nakoruru's homeland for training (though he is essentially just mooching off food and lodging), where he encounters Galford, a ninja who has come to Japan from far-off America. Meanwhile, Nakoruru, confused by her duties as a miko, unexpectedly discovers Shiki, a witch who escaped from the evil emperor Yuga and lost her memory. At the same time, a mysterious figure in black known as Ashura appears; his sole target is Shiki, and his ability to easily defeat Haohmaru's senior disciple Genjuro Kibagami demonstrates his extraordinary strength. In early spring in Hokkaido, seven samurai with different fates begin a battle between good and evil.... This work is adapted from SNK's popular 3D fighting game Samurai Spirits 2 on the Hyper Neo Geo 64 hardware. Those unfamiliar with the fighting game may find it confusing. The visuals are exquisite, with character designs by Nanase Aoi, who specializes in drawing beautiful girls. Each character is voiced by their respective voice actors from the game version, faithfully recreating the original style. Volume 2 includes advertisements for Toki no Daichi, Saiyuki, and the PS-exclusive original Samurai Spirits game Kenkyo Imonroku.
