Dōbutsu no Mori: The Movie

A theatrical film adaptation of Nintendo's famous game Animal Crossing. One day, a girl named Ai moves to the village of animals. She begins living on her own while working at the shop run by Tom Nook. At first unable to even find her way around, Ai eventually becomes an official villager thanks to the support of the wise mayor and other quirky friends. Among them, she grows particularly close to the gentle Sally and the blunt-spoken Bucky, and the three become intimate friends. On one spring night, Ai finds a message in a bottle floating down the river in the village. When she opens it, she discovers a mysterious note: "Plant a pine tree... A miracle will happen on the night of the Snow Festival."... As days and months pass, winter arrives with its annual Snow Festival. The village is buzzing with excitement. Ai had planted a pine tree earlier that year, following the instructions in the letter. On the night of the festival, something strange happens inside the tree.
