Misa discovers a stone tablet in the ruins of Earth, inscribed with a song. It is a love ballad that spread across the stars tens of thousands of years ago. As the final battle approaches, this ordinary love song becomes the wager for Earth's fate and saves humanity from extinction. Indeed, it was just a simple love song. During the long war, people gradually forgot love, becoming consumed only by slaughter and conflict. Yet deep within their hearts, they retained beautiful memories of music. When this love song once again flowed through the burning cosmos of battle, everything turned into love. This is what the film, running over 100 minutes, depicts. Macross, do you remember love?
