Synopsis

This epic fantasy centers on Guts, the 'Black Swordsman,' who wields a massive sword longer than his own height to slay inhuman monsters known as 'Apostles.' Driven by a certain fate, Guts swings his greatsword like a berserker, engaging in deathmatches with creatures stirring in the darkness. His purpose is to avenge his comrades who were killed for no reason and to protect what he holds dear. Bearing these two heavy burdens, Guts searches for the God Hand, five guardian angels, and struggles desperately against the Apostles under their command, tossed about by destiny.
