The villagers are preparing for their annual vegetable competition with prize-winning produce, but they find themselves plagued by a pest: a large, elusive rabbit. Unable to handle the situation, the villagers call upon Wallace, an expert rabbit catcher, who arrives accompanied by his dog Gromit. Together, Wallace and Gromit devise various trapping devices. Just as the villagers feel reassured, Wallace makes a grave mistake: he mishandles a machine, accidentally swapping his mind with that of the rabbit. The farce escalates as Wallace and the rabbit, having exchanged identities, must figure out how to return to their respective bodies—and whether the rabbit is doomed to be eliminated.
