Yoichi Karasuma, a young swordsman, has been training in the mountains with his father for many years. One day, his father tells him, "You won't get any stronger if you keep this up. In addition to swordsmanship, you need experience interacting with people." (In reality, it is simply because his father is no longer a match for Yoichi.) Thus, Yoichi descends the mountain and arrives in Asumigawa City, where he temporarily stays at the Ikariga Dojo of the same school. While living with the four Ikariga sisters, he undergoes what can only be described as an enviable form of training.
