Synopsis
Original synopsis
物語ではキャプテン・フューチャーとフューチャーメンと呼ばれる3人の仲間たち（サイモン、グラッグ、オットー）が愛機である宇宙船コメット号を駆って繰り広げる、悪との戦いと冒険が描かれる。 NHKにより、未来少年コナンに続く連続アニメ第二弾としてアニメ化され、1978年11月7日から1979年12月18日まで52回にわたり放映された。制作は東映動画（現・東映アニメーション）。原作の1作品分を30分×4回で描く形式で、全52話で13作品、さらにスペシャル版1話を入れると14作品がアニメ化された。
