Tokyo, reborn as a forest city to curb the greenhouse effect, is no utopia (Shangri-La)... Due to the "greenhouse effect," Tokyo in the near future has transformed into a tropical metropolis! In this Tokyo, now covered by forests, privileged citizens live in Atlas, a tiered tower city, while commoners dwell on the ground, living in fear of storms and land subsidence. Within the dangerous primeval jungle, the protagonist Kuniko Hojo, an 18-year-old leader of an armed guerrilla unit, wages war against the government forces who have abandoned the populace and relentlessly pushed forward with "forestification." Wielding a massive carbon-fiber boomerang, she fights for a future where everyone can be happy!
