Tayutama: Kiss on My Deity

The story is set in the Sosei Academy located in Ashihara Town. The academy consists of two departments: the "Sosei Girls' Department," a girls' school established since the Meiji era, nicknamed "Perfect," and the "Sosei General Department," a coeducational school founded recently, nicknamed "Minor." The former is a prestigious traditional school with strict discipline, while the latter is a free-spirited institution with innovative ideals; they are almost polar opposites. The protagonist, Yuuri Izumoto, belongs to the General Department. He is the son of Yudo Izumoto, the head priest of the Yamatsukuri Shrine, and has a younger sister figure, Sumina Takanashi, who is like his own little sister. Yuuri spends the spring break before entering his third year with his friends Aeri Kawai and Sakurou Kaname. During this time, an expansion project for the school's playground uncovers ruins inscribed with strange characters. These characters refer to "Tayutai," a deity enshrined at Yuuri's family shrine. Although the academy determines the ruins have no value and continues construction, Yuuri fears that destroying them may cause a disaster. He sneaks into the school late at night to perform a ritual to transfer the deity's soul. A pure white spiritual entity, appearing divine, manifests under the name "Kikuramimihime" and speaks of the issue of coexistence between humans and Tayutai from about five hundred years ago. Finally, she "transforms" into a young girl with fox ears and a tail. Yuuri subsequently names her "Mashiro." A few days later, on the day of the opening ceremony, Mitsufuki Kisaragi from the Girls' Department accuses Yuuri of being the person who tried to stop the expansion project. Although Yuuri knows he is innocent, he cannot defend himself and flees. Upon returning home, an unknown girl appears and claims that Yuuri is "her husband"...
