Kuroneko

The story begins when the protagonist meets Mon-san, a calm and dignified cat. Then, in a park, they encounter Po-ko, a willful kitten, followed by Bon, a mischievous yet brotherly cat. Later, the protagonist picks up another stray and names her Tome, meaning "the last cat." Before long, the protagonist is living with these four cats, affectionately called the "Kuroneko Fool Squad." The unique behaviors of the cats always bring laughter and healing. At the start of the story, the protagonist meets Mon-san, a senior figure among cats, then encounters the selfish Po-ko in a park, and the rambunctious but caring Bon joins them as well. They even rescue one more cat, naming her Tome to signify "this is the end for cats," and before they know it, they are living daily life with the four members of the "Kuroneko Fool Squad." The peculiar gestures unique to cats invite laughter and comfort.
