Genesis of Aquarion

In the distant future, as the Antarctic ice sheets melt, the winged race known as the Fallen Angels, who sank into the ocean depths with the continent of Atlantis twelve thousand years ago, suddenly reappear. They wield biological mecha weapons called Mythical Beasts to relentlessly attack humanity, draining their vital energy, Prana. This catastrophe results in the deaths of two-thirds of the human population. Thus begins the Genesis Era, during which humanity struggles to survive against overwhelming odds. In Year 0011 of the Genesis Era, three mysterious machines known as Vector Machines are discovered among underwater ruins, offering humanity a glimmer of hope for counterattack. The Vector Machines are legendary weapons from twelve thousand years ago, capable of combining into a giant Mechanical Angel, Aquarion, possessing immense combat power. To pilot the Vector Machines, one must be an Element—a person with a special constitution capable of sensing and resonating with these mechanical lifeforms. Elements possess keen five senses and pure souls, typically being young boys and girls around their teens. Eight such youths gather as Elements... where will the battle between humanity and the Fallen Angels lead?
