NEEDLESS

In 2130, as a result of World War III, massive contaminated zones known as "BS" (Black Spot) have appeared across Japan. These areas are isolated from the rest of society by giant walls and treated as ruins, yet inhabitants soon emerge within this desolate land. They are called "Needless" by the people living in the "City," and among them exist individuals with special abilities. The story begins with a boy named Araka Kaburagi, who belongs to a resistance group alongside his sister, Eve Kaburagi. Their goal is to liberate the BS from the tyrannical rule of Simeon. During an ambush on Adam Arclight, the resistance is counter-ambushed and completely wiped out. While fleeing, Eve dies protecting her brother, and Araka alone escapes into the sewers. Just as pursuers close in and hope fades, Araka encounters Breid, who bears a striking resemblance to Arclight. Breid rescues him, and together they arrive at a church where they meet many allies. This event marks the beginning of Araka's life and battles at the church.
