The Sky Crawlers

Fighter pilot Yuichi Kannami reports to the base, where he awaits a new living environment and familiar aerial combat. There, he meets various comrades-in-arms and his stern commander, Suzy Kusanagi. Kannami is assigned a new fighter jet, but his fellow pilots remain silent about its previous pilot. As he begins to investigate related information, he gradually learns of the former pilot's final story, which itself has a profound connection to Suzy Kusanagi. With deeper investigation, Kannami uncovers secrets hidden behind memories, and his daily battles with the enemy seem to be leading toward an inevitable boundary.
