PIANO

On a rainy afternoon after school, Yuuki finds Miyu in the music room, feeling down. Because she forgot her sheet music, Miyu is afraid to attend Professor Shirakawa's class. To help Miyu forget her worries, Yuuki suggests they skip class together... but Miyu hesitates... Accompanying Yuuki to a CD shop, Miyu remains gloomy... The music playing in the shop makes Miyu want to give up. Eventually, Yuuki notices this and encourages her, leading Miyu back onto the path of practice... Arriving at the music school, Miyu keeps wanting to give up due to being late and not having her sheet music. Although it is already quite late, Shirakawa agrees to teach her and does not scold her for being late or missing the sheet music... However, this only makes Miyu feel more uneasy. In the quiet classroom, Miyu's piano sound begins to play... But Shirakawa senses Miyu's guilt, so he lets her improvise freely, accompanied by the sound of rain. Even amidst the rain, Miyu's piano clearly conveys her underlying anxiety to Shirakawa... Yet Shirakawa appears unusually serious... On the way home, Miyu realizes she has lost her umbrella, and things get worse... With neither enough phone card balance nor loose change, she is fortunately spotted by her father, who is just getting off work... Finally, the rain stops and the sky clears. The sheet music that had caused Miyu such distress... is discovered to have been inside her bag all along.
