S.A: Special A

The protagonist, Hikari Hanazono, attends Hakusenkan Private Academy, an ultra-elite aristocratic high school. In this somewhat peculiar school, students are divided into classes ranging from A to F based on their academic performance. The top seven students in the entire grade level enter "Special A" (also known as "S·A"). These "elites among elites" enjoy special privileges. Not only do they wear different uniforms from other students, but they can also study independently in a greenhouse referred to as paradise. Consequently, many students look up to those in the Special A class. The next tier, Class A, consists of only fourteen students. Those in Class A are candidates for promotion to S·A; if their grades surpass those of current S·A members, they will be promoted to S·A (conversely, existing S·A members may be demoted to Class A).
