Mashin Hero Wataru

Wataru Ikusabe is a fourth-grade elementary school student. One day, on his way to school, he passes by the Ryujin Pond and accidentally finds a string of magatama beads, which he hangs on a clay doll (the prototype for Ryujinmaru). On his way home from school, when he passes through the same place again, he is suddenly taken by a dragon to an alternate world called "Soukai Mountain." There, he learns that Soukai Mountain has been occupied by Doukidar, the king of the Demon World, and that he himself is the savior destined to defeat the demons. Thus, with the help of the Mashin "Ryujinmaru," Wataru and his friends set off on a journey to save Soukai Mountain... Soukai Mountain is divided into seven layers, each ruled by Doukidar and his generals. Each layer has its own unique characteristics; for example, the second layer is a world with bizarre backgrounds, the third layer is an extremely hot world, the fourth layer is an extremely cold world, the fifth layer is a highly polluted world, and the sixth layer is a magical world. Each general also has about five subordinates (with the fourth layer having the fewest, only about two).
