La Corda d'Oro: Primo Passo

The story is set in a modern high school. Seiso Academy is a high school divided into general studies and music departments. The two faculties are vastly different, with separate buildings, uniforms, and curricula. Hinohara Kahoko, a student in the general studies department, is an ordinary girl full of sunshine who faces any situation with straightforwardness. One day, she unexpectedly encounters Lili, a spirit of music. The willful Lili takes advantage of Kahoko's daze to forcibly give her a magical violin, pressuring her into participating in the school's music concert by both gentle and harsh means. This violin has the unique property that its user can play beautiful music without needing any technical skill, but only if the user's emotions resonate with the instrument. The other five members competing alongside her are elites from the music department, and students from the music department who cannot participate feel great resentment toward Kahoko, a general studies student, for joining. Meanwhile, keeping the secret of the magical violin proves to be a significant source of trouble and worry for the candid Kahoko.
