Akagi: Legend of the Mahjong Master ~The Genius Descending into Darkness~

In a secluded mahjong parlor amidst the rain, there is a boy who has become addicted to the game out of sheer boredom. Anyone who sees his snow-white hair cannot help but imagine the life he has lived so far. The boy's name is Akagi... The author uses mahjong as the central theme throughout the work, and with its dark background and extensive psychological descriptions, manages to envision so many events that defy common sense! One can only imagine how much effort the author poured into this work! It is truly remarkable that in a story about mahjong, the author was able to calculate so many details! The character designs are distinctive, and this new animation style makes the entire series feel more "realistic."
