The Police Box in front of Kameari Park, part of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police's new Katsushika Precinct, was originally just an ordinary, small police box. However, ever since approximately twenty years ago, when Ryotsu Kankichi—a uniquely troublesome officer and a master of comedy—was assigned there, countless chaotic mishaps have occurred 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, simply because of his presence. Thanks to this troublemaker, whose antics not only reach the Metropolitan Police Headquarters but even ascend to heaven and descend to hell, the precinct has become 'famous' throughout Japan, known by locals as the 'Kochikame.'
