McDull: The Pork of Music

As the fourth installment in the McDull animated film series, McDull: The Pork of Music maintains its signature warm and nonsensical comedic style, blending joy with a touch of melancholy. The story begins with McDull's gray happiness. During summer vacation, while other children go skiing in New Zealand, study Mandarin at Peking University, or learn English at Cambridge, McDull, from a humble background, is sent to Mount Wudang to learn Tai Chi because his mother has moved north to Wuhan to run a food stall. On Mount Wudang, there are no televisions or air conditioners; on lonely nights, McDull struggles with loneliness and often cries alone. Nevertheless, he persists in diligent practice, eventually participating in the "World Kindergarten Martial Arts Tournament" with his dull and slow-paced Tai Chi routine, facing off against disciples of Bruce Lee, Yuen Woo-ping, and others... Compared to the previous three films, this one incorporates more authentic Hong Kong-style humor. The sight of the slow-tempered McDull practicing martial arts is truly something to look forward to. The entire story revolves around McDull's martial arts training. With the "World Kindergarten Martial Arts Tournament" approaching, the students of the "Taiyi Chunhua Sect" appear weak-kneed and seem destined to get beaten up. Meanwhile, the Daoist Master discovers instant noodle fragments in his ancestral alchemy furnace. Enraged, he severely punishes McDull. The young students scatter, and McDull secretly descends the mountain to make a phone call, hoping his mother will pick him up. At the foot of the mountain, McDull inadvertently learns about the Daoist Master's past—when he was young, the Master had agreed to a duel with international martial arts star Li Xiaolin at Luo Hu! After that decisive battle, the Master secluded himself for deep contemplation, finally realizing the importance of innovating Tai Chi and entrusting this mission to the new generation. It turns out that Bear Brother, who had always encouraged McDull, was actually the Daoist Master in disguise! Deeply moved upon learning this, McDull decides to return to the mountain to properly learn push-hands techniques from the Master. At the "World Kindergarten Martial Arts Tournament," McDull faces aggressive children from various regions. Suddenly, a massive object belonging to McDull's ancestor, Ma Zhongfei, begins to chime loudly. It is a giant clock where one year equals one second, striking only once every 3,600 years. Great perfection seems incomplete; great talent matures late. McDull suddenly grasps the principles of Tai Chi, and indeed, the meaning of his own life.
