Rosario + Vampire CAPU2

The romantic manga "Rosario + Vampire," written by Akihisa Ikeda and serialized in "Monthly Shonen Jump" before moving to the new publication "Jump SQ," gained popularity among readers for its school setting filled with monsters and high-quality fan service scenes. Its 13-episode anime adaptation, produced by renowned studio GONZO, began airing on January 3, 2008, and has since concluded. The anime received praise for its production team, voice actor cast, and overall quality after broadcast. Subsequently, on March 20, it was adapted into an NDS game titled "Rosario + Vampire - Tanabata's Miss Youyou Academy," further extending the charm of the original work. Thus, releasing a sequel to such an excellent title was quite reasonable (for review, see: Details of the NDS version of "Rosario + Vampire" revealed). Recently, the May issue of "Jump SQ" officially announced the production decision for the second season of "Rosario + Vampire." Tentatively named "Rosario + Vampire Capu2," it is scheduled to air in October 2008. New Character: Shuzen Kokoa Although the official name for "Capu2" has not yet been released, various pieces of information have emerged through reports in "Jump SQ." It is known that many new characters will appear in "Capu2," including those who have recently appeared in the manga. Among the main characters, the new installment adds a younger sister type character—Shuzen Kokoa. Kokoa has just debuted in the manga, displaying a tsundere personality that alternates between tough and soft, meaning protagonist Aono Tsukune now has another troublesome companion. Tsukune's cousin, Aono Kyoko, will also appear in the new series. Kyoko played a guardian-like role during Tsukune's childhood; given her personality, she may have seen through the true nature of Youyou Academy in the new series. As supporting characters, the most impressive aspect of the new installment regarding character design is the appearance of parental figures. This includes Kurogane Yoyo, Moka's mother, who came to the school festival in the original work to meet her daughter's fiancé. Additionally, Shion's parents and Yukina's mother, both of whom appeared at the school festival in the manga, are set to appear. Furthermore, information indicates that several original characters exist in the anime version, suggesting a significant upgrade in character designs for the new series. However, I personally look forward to seeing Kotori, the reincarnation of Orihime from the game version, make an appearance as well.
