Fantasic Children

Toma, an 11-year-old boy living with his parents on a southern island, one day encounters a girl at a ruin on the island. The girl, named Helga, is quiet and constantly draws landscapes of unknown places, saying she wants to go to where those landscapes are. Thus, Toma and Jid, a boy who loves Helga, decide to take her to that "place she wants to go." There is also a group of mysterious children dressed in black, known as the "Children of Bevil," who appear every few decades. They have spent long ages solely searching for one person. Even while exhausted by the repeated passage of time, and with a mysterious boy named Toma interfering and reducing their numbers, they remain single-mindedly focused on finding the girl. Furthermore, there is Detective Cook, who investigates a series of disappearances involving boys and girls. During his investigation, he learns of the existence of the "Children of Bevil." As he delves deeper, he discovers these children possess mysterious, inexplicable phenomena, and a mysterious young man later appears. What hidden secrets lie within the missing children? The three parallel stories eventually become intricately intertwined, transcending five hundred years of time, and it all stems from a tragedy on a certain planet.
