The original creator of "Kiss×Sis" (commonly translated as "Kissing My Sisters") is Japanese manga artist Ditama. The manga was originally a one-shot published in the January 2004 issue of "Bessatsu Young Magazine." Due to positive reader reception, it began regular serialization in issue No. 13 of "Bessatsu Young Magazine." Its first tankobon volume was released in September 2007 and sold out immediately upon release, requiring multiple reprints and becoming a popular work among fans of this genre. In issue No. 28 of "Bessatsu Young Magazine" in 2008, it was announced that the manga would be adapted into an anime. Because the third volume's limited first edition, which came with an OAD, proved extremely popular and sold out early through pre-orders, the official decision was made to produce a second OAD, which was released alongside the fourth volume's limited first edition on May 22, 2009.
