Mushishi

The "mushi" here are neither plants nor animals, nor are they microorganisms or fungi; they are entities closer to the primordial essence of life. Collectively known as "mushi," their forms and existence are ambiguous. Only when the world of humans overlaps with that of the mushi do bizarre phenomena occur that transcend human understanding, at which point humanity becomes aware of their existence. Life does not exist to threaten others; it simply exists in its own unique form. As a "Mushishi"—one who bridges the worlds of mushi and humans—the protagonist Ginko encounters various people and the mushi connected to them on his journey, weaving a tapestry where each episode features different characters, creating an endless narrative.
