Katanagatari

On the uninhabited island of Fushou Island, which appears on no map, live Yashichi Nanami, the seventh-generation headmaster of the Kyotoryu style—a swordsmanship that does not use a blade—and his sister, Yashichi Nanami. They were brought to this island as children after being shipwrecked with their father and have lived there for twenty years. After their father's death, they believed that no one in the world remembered them anymore. One day, a strategist calling herself Togame suddenly visits the island. She has come to seek help from Yashichi, the headmaster of Kyotoryu, to collect the twelve Shikizaki Kiki forged throughout his life, known as the Twelve Divine Blades. However, during their conversation, they are suddenly attacked! The attacker is Madaraba Maniwa, one of the twelve leaders of the Maniwa Ninja Clan. Enraged, Yashichi chases after Madaraba... The journey begins for Yashichi, a swordsman who grew up in this paradise-like isolation and knows nothing of the outside world. What awaits him ahead—hellish battles or a life-threatening romantic quagmire?!
