GUNSLINGER GIRL -IL TEATRINO-

The story is set in a modern Italian city. The government agency known as the "Social Welfare Corporation" appears to be a welfare institution that takes in severely disabled girls to provide medical treatment and vocational training assistance. However, its true nature is to subject these girls to cybernetic body modifications and drug-induced brainwashing to turn them into elite soldiers against terrorists. Each girl is paired with an assistant officer, a combination referred to as "fratello," which means "siblings" in Italian. Due to their conditioning, each girl possesses absolute loyalty toward her assistant officer, characterized by a mix of romantic love and familial affection. Opposing the Social Welfare Corporation is a terrorist organization called the "Five Republics Faction." This group's political agenda responds to the proposal by Umberto Bossi, leader of the "Northern League" (Lega Nord) party based in northern Italy, advocating for the separation and independence of eight provinces in northern Italy and three provinces in central Italy (including Tuscany, Umbria, and Marche) from the Italian Republic. They carry out armed resistance movements based on this ideology. (Note: No such organization exists in real-world Italy, and the actual Northern League does not support terrorist activities.)
