Nobita, whose life is full of frustrations in the real world, complains that there is no magic. One day, he accidentally discovers stone statues of himself and Doraemon. While curious about their origins, Nobita, longing for magic, impulsively uses the What-If Phone Booth to realize his dream, causing the statues to disappear. However, the resulting magical world is not the utopia Nobita envisioned, leaving him disappointed. A renowned magic researcher, Dr. Mitsuzuki, informs everyone of a terrifying truth: the Demon Planet will soon come completely close to Earth, bringing super-strong earthquakes and typhoons. When Nobita tries to revert to the real world, his mother has already thrown away the phone booth. After deciphering ancient texts, Dr. Mitsuzuki is captured. Miyoko, who escapes with support from Nobita and his friends, sets out with them to the Demon Planet. They undergo great adventures on the Demon Planet, including the Antarctic of the demon realm, the Sea of Bewilderment inhabited by mermaids and demonic fish, the Never-Return Plains where one gets lost, and rainforests filled with demons. Finally, when confronting the Great Demon King, they learn from ancient texts that shooting a silver dart into his heart can destroy him. However, this proves ineffective against the Demon King. Everyone is blasted out of the outskirts of the demon realm by the Demon King's power. As Nobita and his companions plan a counterattack at night, pursuers from the Demon Legion catch up, and they are gradually captured. To save Nobita, Miyoko sacrifices herself as a decoy and hands the ancient text to Nobita, asking him to decipher the final passage regarding the Demon King's heart. Nobita swears to rescue her. Eventually, only Nobita and Doraemon remain uncaptured. In their desperation, they devise a plan to use the Time Machine to go back and prevent themselves from ever using the What-If Phone Booth. Meanwhile, the Demon King discovers their whereabouts and sends the witch Medusa after them. The demons follow them through hyperspace and time dimensions to the real world, turning them into stone statues to complete their mission. It is then that they realize the two stone statues they found earlier were actually their future selves. On the other hand, Miyoko and the others, who were captured, are prepared to be eaten as living sacrifices on the eve before the Demon Planet engulfs the Earth. Just as Nobita and Doraemon are immobilized, Dorami arrives from the future, using a Time Cloth to restore them to normal. She brings her own What-If Phone Booth to return everything to the real world. However, the crisis is not over, as the magical world remains in peril. They have an obligation to defeat the Demon King and safely rescue Miyoko and the others. Using the Time Machine, they return to the demon realm and learn that the Demon King's heart is not inside his body but hidden in outer space (the star 'Alpha' in the constellation Demons). They successfully rescue Miyoko and the others from the dungeon and decide to make a comeback, heading to outer space for a final showdown with the Demon King's legion. As Nobita and his group fly towards Alpha Star on Miyoko's flying carpet, the Demon King's pursuers arrive. They use magic to turn stars into lightning attacks against Nobita and his friends. Ultimately, Gian finishes off the Demon King's heart with a silver dart, causing the heart and the Demon Planet to collide and destroy each other. Nobita and his group rebuild Dr. Mitsuzuki's house and use Dorami's What-If Phone Booth to return everything to the real world. Suneo thinks it was all just a dream. Nobita still casts a spell to lift Shizuka's skirt, but Suneo believes it was just the wind.
