Doraemon: Nobita's Parallel Journey to the West

Nobita's class is rehearsing a play of "Journey to the West" for their school welcome festival. Nobita wants to play Sun Wukong, but he only gets cast as a villager. To prove that he looks like Sun Wukong, Nobita uses the time machine to travel to Tang Dynasty China to meet the real Sun Wukong (who turns out to be Nobita himself in disguise). Later, Nobita bets Doraemon's gadgets to prove that Sun Wukong resembles him. Nobita and his friends go to the Tang Dynasty but fail to find Sun Wukong. Consequently, Nobita uses Doraemon's simulation game console to impersonate Sun Wukong, but is eventually exposed. Because the machine was left on, monsters from the game escape into the real world. The monsters take over the world, putting Nobita and his friends in danger. To restore history and save the monk Xuanzang, Nobita and his friends disguise themselves as Sun Wukong and other characters to protect him. While crossing the Flaming Mountains, they are led by Xuanzang's attendant, Xiao Yang (who is actually Red Boy), into the lair of the Bull Demon King and Princess Iron Fan, where they face being cooked alive. At this moment, Dorami arrives at the Flaming Mountains. With Xiao Yang's help, Nobita finally defeats the monsters. History is restored, and Xuanzang and Xiao Yang continue their journey to India to retrieve the scriptures, while Nobita returns to 20th-century Japan.
