Doraemon: Nobita's Dorabian Nights

During summer vacation, Nobita and Doraemon use the "Story Entry Shoes" to experience the tale of Sinbad the Sailor from a picture book of One Thousand and One Nights. However, Nobita finds it boring and invites Shizuka to join him in the story world, but she declines as she plans to go on a camp with her classmates. Later, Gian and Suneo get involved; they enter the Jack and the Beanstalk picture book and meddle, causing chaos in the plot. Shizuka, having mistaken the date for her camp, returns to Nobita's house to try the story world again. She and Nobita enter the Pinocchio picture book, but Gian and Suneo mix up all the storybooks after leaving the Jack and the Beanstalk tale, causing Nobita and Shizuka to encounter mixed-up plotlines. Upset, Shizuka tries to leave the story world but is knocked off by Sinbad riding a magic carpet, falling into the desert. The next day, Doraemon realizes only three pairs of shoes remain and learns that Shizuka is missing. Using the "Universe Encyclopedia," he discovers that One Thousand and One Nights contains 260 stories, some of which are based on real events. He identifies two historical figures who match reality: Caliph Harun al-Rashid and Grand Vizier Jafar. Guided by a future tour guide named Mikujin, Doraemon, along with Nobita, Suneo, and Gian, travels to Baghdad in 794 AD during the Abbasid Caliphate under Harun al-Rashid. However, they argue with Mikujin, who leaves in frustration. Disguised as foreign merchants and their attendants, the group is attacked by a band of thieves led by Qasim. Harun al-Rashid steps in to save them. The Caliph grants them a pass to depart from the port of Basra. Upon reaching the port, they buy a ship from a merchant, but once at sea with the merchant and his crew, the merchant reveals himself as Qasim, betrays them, and throws them overboard. The four wash ashore after a storm. Doraemon's pocket was lost in the storm (stolen by Qasim, then dropped in the desert when he didn't know how to use it), forcing them to cross the desert. Nobita collapses from heat exhaustion. They are later brought by Sinbad's genie to Sinbad's Golden Palace, where Sinbad shows them many gadgets created by a traveler from the future. Using these gadgets, Sinbad defeats the villain Abukiru and rescues Shizuka. Swearing revenge, Abukiru encounters Qasim and his two henchmen, revealing that he is the only one who remembers the location of the Golden Palace because he did not take the memory-erasing drug given by Sinbad. While Sinbad is away, Abukiru and Qasim seize the Golden Palace and subdue Sinbad and Doraemon's group using the gadgets. Mikujin returns and gives Doraemon the pocket, which had been stolen by Qasim and left in the desert. Finally, Sinbad and Doraemon's group manage to defeat Abukiru, Qasim, and his henchmen, retaking the Golden Palace. Sinbad declares that he will make Abukiru and his gang fully consume the memory-erasing drug before sending them back to Baghdad. When Doraemon's group bids farewell to Sinbad, Sinbad does not force them to take the drug. In the ending credits, Nobita and his friends give Sinbad manga and toys.
