The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya

"I graduated from East Junior High. My name is Haruhi Suzumiya. I have no interest in ordinary humans. If any aliens, time travelers, people from another world, or espers are among you, come find me." This is Haruhi Suzumiya's declaration, and her challenge to a mediocre life. We may stop believing in Santa Claus when we are very young, and gradually cease to harbor fantasies about aliens or psychic powers. However, Haruhi, who refuses to settle for the status quo, boldly establishes the SOS Brigade, attempting to transform this stale world with her intense will. Where does her melancholy truly originate, and where will it lead?
