Yuuji, I will protect you. The ordinary daily life of high school student Sakai Yuuji vanished one day. A monster from another world called a "Crimson Denizen," who devours people by turning their "Existence" into fuel, attacked him. As Yuuji stood frozen in shock, forgetting even to flee, he was saved by a mysterious girl with crimson hair and eyes. And then—she told him: "You no longer exist." One day, beside ordinary high school student Sakai Yuuji appeared a girl named Shana, the "Flame-Haired Burning-Eyed Hunter." She told Yuuji that his life was about to end. Beyond this world lies another realm known as the "Crimson Realm," whose inhabitants steal humanity's fundamental power, "Power of Existence," to fulfill their ambitions. Yuuji is one of the victims. After Crimson Denizens take away "Existence," they leave behind a "Torch" to mitigate the distortions created in reality. Over time, however, these "Torches" fade from people's memories. What fate awaits Yuuji?
