One day, a commission to protect a certain girl suddenly falls into the hands of Shinkurou Kurenai, a high school student who works as a mediator for disputes. The seven-year-old girl is named Yukari Kunenobe, and she is also the daughter of one of the world's largest conglomerates. Before he fully understands the situation, Shinkurou begins what appears to be a happy cohabitation with Yukari. As Shinkurou is tossed around by her whims and gradually gets used to their chaotic daily life, he comes to realize just how harsh and realistic the world they live in truly is. This realization puts an end to his previously smooth and perfect life. Upon learning about the terrible fate lurking behind Yukari's existence, what choice will Shinkurou make? Will the relationship between the two, which began merely as caretaking and concern, slowly evolve into romantic love?
