GROTESQQQUE

A latest masterpiece by animation studio CloverWorks, known for SPY×FAMILY, in collaboration with Atsushi Nishigori, the animation director of Evangelion: 3.0+1.0 Thrice Upon a Time, jointly constructs three distinct worlds in Tokyo: In "Alien," an alien goodwill ambassador and an Earth office drone civil servant dash around searching for a "friend"; in "Yoroshiku★Shoujo," an idol battles it out in a game-royale style fight to claim the throne of Game Queen in a city of eternal night; in "Nocturne ~On This Grotesque Night~," a vampire and an infected girl drive through post-human-extinction highways, protecting their small daily lives. With strikingly different art styles and layered music genres, a lavish cast including voice actresses Kana Ichinose and Rie Kugimiya, actors Sara Minami and Gen Hoshino, and Nogizaka46 idols Uehara Reika and Arno Nakanishi lend their voices, delivering the most exhilarating sensory feast for "Gen Q." Three episodes—distorted, uneven, yet endlessly beautiful—melt together like a chimera, bubbling up freshly alongside original music that stirs the heart. Pop and edgy visuals and sounds overlap, making the world pulse. Aliens, gyaru, vampires. The story of "grotesque" girls drawn by Atsushi Nishigori begins to move now——.
