I Can Hear the Sea

Taku Morisaki, who has enrolled in a private university in Tokyo, sees a girl on the platform during his first summer vacation from college who looks very much like his high school classmate, Rikako Muto. Later, while returning to his hometown of Kochi for a reunion, Taku recalls memories from his high school days: meeting Rikako, a transfer student; the graduation trip to Hawaii; the trip to Tokyo with just him and Rikako; and the cultural festival that ended in disaster due to a quarrel with friends. Through these somewhat bittersweet memories, Taku begins to reflect on Rikako's presence.
