Elfen Lied

Lucy was born different from ordinary people; she has two horns on her head, four invisible hands, and possesses immense power within her body. People call children like her Diclonius. Having been abandoned and ostracized since childhood, Lucy lived in profound loneliness until she met Kouta, with whom she spent a few truly happy days. However, as the instincts of her carrier within her called out, her nature as a killer gradually emerged, leading to her capture and confinement by the research institute. Eight years later, Lucy escapes from the institute but suffers severe brain trauma that causes amnesia, turning her into an "idiot girl." Meanwhile, Kouta also experiences selective amnesia due to a major traumatic event from his childhood. When they meet again, Kouta takes Lucy in, treating her as a stranger. As fragmented memories of their past intertwine, the story moves toward two extremes.
