"I... killed my weak self.
I won't give you away—Ryougi Shiki."
Two years have passed since the accident.
While in a continuous coma, Ryougi Shiki constantly touched "death" and feared it.
She has finally awakened.
But what awaits her is a scene filled with deep loneliness and despair.
What she lost was "Shiki," the fragment who had always been together with her in the same vessel.
What she gained was the abnormal power to see the lines of death of all things—the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception.
Even the Ryougi family did not know this outcome, which resulted from avenging the existence that raised her.
She loved dreaming, Shiki.
She harbored a deep impulse to kill, Shiki.
Now, she is nowhere to be found.
Even if the unspeakable sense of loss and the feeling of death leave the girl hollow.
Even if she realizes that for spirits, such an empty vessel is their ultimate goal—
There is a boy who wants to protect this girl. No, he should be called a young man now. His name is Kokudou Mikiya.
His superior, Reirei, is a beautiful doll-manipulating magus, but currently just the owner of the workshop "Garan's Hall." Her name is Aozaki Touko.
One day, Touko wishes to meet Shiki. Under what pretext will she see her?
For now, let it be as a life guidance counselor. Why does she want to see her? That is fate.
Once they meet, time flows slowly. But eventually, the end arrives.
On a certain night, for the sake of the empty vessel, spirits attack for flesh.
In that instant, reflected in the girl's eyes are the quiet lines capable of grasping the malevolence of death. In her hand is a small knife. Her pupils shine. Thus, the girl resolves to take her first step on her own four limbs.
