Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

This is a hot-blooded story about a man betrayed by fate, who fights, keeps fighting, and never stops fighting. Day after day, Simon, a boy from the underground village of Giha, has been digging with a drill, accustomed to his mundane life. However, his best friend Kamina, known as "Aniki" (Big Brother), constantly shouts about the so-called world above ground. "Pierce through the heavens and go see the surface world!" This is what Kamina thinks every day, but he has never succeeded. One day, a giant mechanical monster called a "Face" breaks through the ceiling of the village and enters to destroy it. Confirming the existence of the surface world, Kamina's enthusiasm soars. Together with Yoko, a girl from the surface, and his little brother Simon, they fight against the Face. Piloting the mech that Simon accidentally dug up—Gurren Lagann—they break through the ceiling and reach the surface world! The Earth's surface unfolds before the boys and girls, but in reality, there are even more "Faces" on the surface. Thus begins an adventure of endless battles. Simon's future unfolds in directions no one could ever imagine.
