Takumi Saijo, a second-year student at Suisei Academy High School, claims to have no interest in the real world and lives with his extensive collection of beautiful anime figurines. Since September 7, 2008, Shibuya has been plagued by a series of bizarre murders known as the "New Generation Madness," which has become a hot topic on the internet and television. Late at night on September 28, 2008, Takumi encounters someone calling themselves "Shogun" in a chat room. A URL link in Shogun's message leads to a horrifying image that seems to predict the next gruesome murder. The following day, Takumi comes across a murder scene identical to the method depicted in the image. Standing before the corpse is a blood-soaked girl named Rimi Sakihata.
