Azumanga Daioh: The Animation

One day, two new students joined the class. One was Chiyo Mihama, a prodigy who had skipped grades; she possessed genius-level intelligence completely at odds with her cute appearance, and an emotional intelligence that didn't match her intellect at all. The other was Ayumu Kasuga, who was consistently slow-witted and airheaded. Soon, they fit in perfectly with their classmates. Yomi Sakaki, known as "Yomi," is competitive and tough but possesses unexpected innocence and naivety. Despite her calm and mature exterior, she has zero resistance to anything cute in the world. Tomo Takino, Yomi's childhood friend and a top student, naturally became Yomi's rival. Add to this their eccentric homeroom teacher, Yukari Tanizaki, and it seems these three years of high school life will certainly be colorful.
