Kannazuki no Miko

In a mountain town in Japan surrounded by beautiful nature, there is a large, splendid, and luxurious school called Otobashi Academy. The story begins around the ordinary schoolgirl Kurukawa Himiko. Himiko is surrounded by her companions: Himegami Chikane, the idol of the academy who is from a prestigious family, excels in both academics and sports, possesses beauty and talent, and has a personality free of bad habits; and Ohkami Souma, Himiko's childhood friend who is somewhat useless but honest. They enjoy a bright and happy school life together. When Himiko turns sixteen, the fates of the three begin to change. The ancient god Orochi attempted to destroy the world, which led to the emergence of two priestesses destined to save it. These two priestess reincarnate endlessly, meeting each time to seal Orochi with their combined power. Now, as ordinary high school students, Kurukawa Himiko is the reincarnation of the "Sun Priestess" and Himegami Chikane is the reincarnation of the "Moon Priestess." To seal Orochi again, they must find a way to summon the legendary sword deity Amatsukumo. Orochi's eight servants (representing the eight dark aspects of humanity) repeatedly attack them to prevent this summoning. Meanwhile, Ohkami Souma, who was originally supposed to be one of Orochi's servants (Order Seven), betrays Orochi's will due to his long-standing love for Himiko and repeatedly saves them, sparking another conflict. This is the fate of those bound as the "Priestesses of Kannazuki": two people in endless reincarnation with inseparable destinies.
