Full Metal Panic!

In the 20th century, during a period of relative stability in the global order, major powers sought to strengthen their military capabilities to dominate the world. Whispers are special humans who possess innate abilities, allowing them to understand high-tech methods decades ahead of current science without any formal learning. To protect the stability of the world order, the mysterious organization Mithril dispatched Sergeant Sousuke and two others to safeguard a known Whisper, Chidori Kaname. Sousuke posed as a transfer student to keep close watch on her. Due to his long life in the military and complete lack of common sense for an ordinary high schooler, he caused quite a few comedic misunderstandings at school. During this time, various terrifying incidents occurred, such as a hijacking orchestrated by the Soviet Union to kidnap Kaname. Through these events, a special bond gradually formed between Sousuke and Chidori.
