Detective Conan: Crossroad in the Ancient Capital

Invited by a Kyoto temple, Kogoro travels to the city to investigate an eight-year-old Buddha statue theft. The temple has recently obtained a clue regarding the statue's whereabouts: a picture featuring distinct patterns, which they provide to Kogoro to help recover it as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, murders occur in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto. After investigating, police in all three cities discover that the victims are members of a thief gang called "Genji Hotaru." Each member uses a codename based on traditional figures from *The Tale of the Heike*. Hattori also travels to Kyoto to investigate the truth behind the murders, where he encounters Conan. Together, they investigate both cases and find common points between them that may help solve the eight-year-old theft. During their investigation, another murder occurs; Hattori is attacked, and Kazuha is taken hostage while searching for clues about the attacker.
