Pokémon: The Movie 2000 - The Power of One

On a small island in the South Seas, there is a legend: when the gods of fire, ice, and thunder are angered by humans, it will be the day the world ends. The mad collector Gilbert, seeking to lure out the legendary sea god Lugia, captured Moltres from the Island of Asia. This caused natural disasters to begin appearing around the world. At this time, Ash and his friends arrived on the Island of Asia and were chosen to play the role of the Legendary Guardian during a local festival. The Guardian must retrieve three treasures from the islands of the legendary birds. During their quest for the treasures, Ash witnessed the legendary birds being captured by Gilbert. While it was infuriating that the mad collector Gilbert disregarded the survival of the world for his own selfish desires, once the legendary birds were released by Ash, they launched frenzied attacks without regard for anything else. It seemed that the prophecy of the apocalypse was about to come true...
