Kyo kara Maoh!

The anime is adapted from the popular light novel series by Jo Linzhi. Since its 2004 adaptation and broadcast on NHK, it has won over many female viewers and voice actor fans with its beautiful character designs and stellar voice cast. The protagonist, Yuuri Shibuya, was an ordinary high school student who, while trying to help someone, was overwhelmed by bullies and flushed into another world via a toilet. Although black hair and eyes are common in Asia, they caused a stir in this new world, leading to Yuuri being hailed as the great 27th Demon Lord. This sparked numerous "heartwarming tales of vanishing evil" (though largely comedic). The lineup of handsome male characters is another highlight, including Wolfram von Bielefeld, a beautiful noble boy and Yuuri's fiancé (it is difficult to describe a marriage between two men, leaving one to wonder about their roles, especially considering his age), Conrad Weller, the loyal first swordsman of Shin Makoku and former Crown Prince whose popularity nearly surpasses that of the protagonist, Gwendal von Voltaire, a devoted minister who also enjoys knitting, and Günter von Christ, a silver-haired official who often daydreams and talks to himself regardless of where he is.
